We opted for a couples baby shower as I wanted our baby shower to be a time that not only Tom, but all our friends and family could be together before this little girl arrives. I wanted to keep our baby shower very simple in both the theme, as well as the preparation of food/drinks as it was really important for me to be present with our guests and not in the kitchen the whole time preparing food! We opted for an easy but delicious savoury and sweet charcuterie table.
We bought all the food at Costco which made it so easy and Tom had our local liquor store put together a range of craft beers to hopefully appeal to the male guests! I DIY’d the balloon garland (which ended up costing less than $10 to make!), and we had a raspberry lemonade punch for our friends and family who didn’t want alcohol.
I didn’t really have a theme but instead just had a few pretty details like the white and pink balloon garland, eucalyptus, pink roses and some cute pink cups.
We played two games – one was baby shower bingo where the winner won a gift pack I put together filled with fancy olive oil, ShortHive honey and a bar of chocolate. The other was a guessing game about little one’s name, due date, and weight … which were still waiting to find out who the winner will be!
I bought my dress from Maive & Bo which is not only super stretchy for the growing bump but also nursing friendly so I can keep wearing it after! It is beyond soft and I felt so comfortable in it.
